This afternoon we danced in Gosport to entertain those taking part in ...

Portsmouth harbour walk

Do the new Millennium walk around Portsmouth and Gosport and raise money for Barnardo's. There will be town guides on route to give you the local history and extra ferries laid on to allow you to do the whole walk if you choose. Added attractions are 5-a- side football tournament, tug of war, dog show, craft fayres, musical entertainment, as well as a beer tent and refreshments. Cost: £3 per entrant (prior booking), £5 on the day

Our location was "Time and Space Square" in Gosport, a newly opened amenity between Trinity Square and the waterfront. In fact, it's a huge sundial. It was warm, but there was a stiff breeze from the sea.

and the cloggies decided to dance on the hours

And it's not only time that passes here: HMS Warrior (the first ironclad), the Gosport Ferry, P&O's fast ferry from Cherbourg, the Catamaran to Ryde, plus numerous yachts

The mums and daughters danced "Johnny Sharp" and at last my camera caught the "scatter" at the end!

And Beau Knot was well framed by the main entrance to the arena

Dancing the "East Acton Stick Dance", Lesley, Mel and Sarah had some big company
